CMHA provides services to Adults with mental illness or addictions. Including:
Eligibility: Individuals with serious mental illness. 16 years of age and older, and who do not require 24-hour support. Must have a clinical support system, i.e., clinician/doctor, psychiatrist, and/or social worker. Individuals with a history of drug/alcohol abuse must be involved in a recognized treatment program. Individuals must reside in the City of Hamilton.
Referral Process: Referrals will be accepted from medical professionals, social service agencies, family members and self-referrals.

- Mental Health and Justice which provides housing support services to individuals with serious mental illness who are involved in the criminal justice system
- Mental Health Court Support Services provides alternatives and options to people with serious mental illness who become involved in the criminal justice system

Barrett Centre for Crisis Support provides a safe environment in the community for individuals who experience a mental health and/or substance use crisis and who do not require a hospital stay. Serves clients of all genders who are 16 years of age or older. Confidential and free services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Clinic and outreach (home visiting) service designed to serve the complex mental health concerns of seniors. Scope includes mood disorders, behavioural complications of cognitive impairment, chronic mental illness, and addictions.
Seniors 65 years and older residing in the Hamilton, Brant, Niagara, Halton and North West Mississauga communities are eligible. Individuals under age 65 will be considered on an individual basis. A senior’s family physician must approve the referral to our program.
Referral Process: A senior’s family physician must approve the referral to our program. We work closely with the senior and their primary care physician and any other members of their care team. The following information is required as part of the referral and helps facilitate the assessment process:

- Expectations (e.g. diagnoses, management, intervention strategies etc.).
